Swing Gate Maintenance Tip

Proper maintenance is essential to keep your automatic swing gate operating safely and reliably.
Make sure the gate hinges are lubricated at least every six months to prevent unnecessary wear and to keep the gate moving smoothly. Periodically watch the gate as it opens and closes. The movement should be smooth and even, without jerking, binding, or unusual noises.
It is also important to keep the gate area clear of debris and ensure the safety sensors remain clean and unobstructed so the system can operate correctly.
Because of the strong winds we often experience in Florida, installing a mag-lock (magnetic lock) on the gate can help keep the gate securely closed and prevent it from moving or opening during high wind conditions.
If you notice abnormal movement or the gate does not operate smoothly, it is best to have it inspected by a professional.
